Some 20,000 college students recently responded to a first-of-its-kind survey on free speech at their schools.
The survey revealed the Ivy League is doing a poor job.
It also found that 6 out of 10 students will hold back on expressing their opinions, because of how they think their fellow students or professors will respond.
Robert Shibley, executive director for the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) appeared on the Tuesday afternoon edition talk about the survey results. FIRE, along with College Pulse and Real Clear Education organized this research.
Newswatch is seen weekdays on the CBN News Channel.
