The migrant crisis in Europe is intensifying by the day. European leaders are struggling to keep thousands from entering the European Union illegally on a daily basis.
The turmoil is especially tense along the Serbia-Hungary border where a clash with migrants and authorities turned violent.
Migrants shouted "open the gate, open the gate" as thousands faced the sealed border, the BBC reported.
They pushed open a gate along the already sealed-off Hungary border while police used tear gas and water cannons to keep migrants out.
Many responded by throwing rocks, water bottles, and missles at police. The chaotic altercation left dozens of people injured.
Hungary closed its entire border with Serbia on Tuesday after making it illegal to enter the country. Now thousands of migrants are pouring into Croatia as an alternative route to reach the Europan Union.
