"Satan Shoes," that's what rapper Lil Nas X is calling a pair of shoes he helped design, released earlier this week. They're made using Nike Air Max 97's, but feature a bronze pentagram charm, an inverted cross, a Bible verse, and actual human blood in the sole of the shoe. Nike says it had nothing to do with this and is suing the New York-based company that collaborated with Lil Nas X on the shoes. Only 666 pairs were available, each costing $1,018, a reference to the Bible passage embroidered on the side of the shoe, Luke 10:18, which reads in part, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from Heaven." While the shoes are controversial, Faithwire editor Tré Goins Phillips says they also provide Christians with an opportunity. He's on today's CBN News Daily Rundown.
