"The King's Speech" Garners Seven Golden Globe Noms

Fox's hit TV show Glee grabbed five Golden Globe nods, the most for a television series this year. Comedy powerhouse, 30 Rock, is on the nomination list in three categories (Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical, Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical: Tina Fey, and Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical: Alec Baldwin).

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, who hosts the Golden Globes, will honor Robert De Niro with the Cecil B. DeMille Award recepient at the ceremony on Sunday, January 16, 2011. The live telecast will air on NBC at 8 p.m. (EST).



Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the new movie based on C.S. Lewis' best-selling children's series, has one nomination for Best Original Song in "There's a Place for Us" (Music & Lyrics by Carrie Underwood, David Hodges, Hillary Lindsey). Disney's new movie, Tangled, also received a nod in this category for "I See the Light" (Music by Alan Menken, Lyrics by Glenn Slater).
