What we do

Clean Water Ministry

With the help of our partners, CBN’s Operation Blessing clean water projects provide safe, reliable water in needy regions of the developing world. Our staff work with local leaders to identify needs and coordinate each project.

The Need

  • At least 1.8 billion people are using contaminated drinking water every day1.
  • An estimated 801,000 younger than 5 years of age perish from diarrhea each year. The majority of these illnesses (88%) are the results of poor sanitation and unsafe drinking water1.
  • Improved water supply can boost a country's economic growth and can contribute greatly to poverty reduction1.

What We Have Accomplished Together

  • Last year, Operation Blessing completed over 400 water projects.2
  • Clean water has long been one of CBN’s Operation Blessing’s core pillars of humanitarian aid. Operation Blessing deploys an arsenal of advanced clean water solutions including chlorine generators for disinfecting water, comprehensive community water systems including storage tanks and pipe networks, desalination devices, water wells, and more. Operation Blessing’s Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) programs go beyond just clean water to raise the health outcomes for entire communities.

With your generosity, these programs bring hope and relief to those in need, as an expression of God's unfailing love.
