Teaser Trailer Debuts for Animated Nativity Movie, "The Star"
Sony Pictures Animation has released a new teaser trailer for their upcoming holiday season release The Star. It will begin appearing before screenings of The Emoji Movie this weekend in theaters nationwide.
From the studio that brought you Miracles from Heaven, the movie’s vocal talent includes Kelly Clarkson, Tracy Morgan, Patricia Heaton, and Tyler Perry. And Multi-Grammy Award -winning singer Mariah Carey provides new music in support of the film.
According to a news release, The Star tells the story of the first Christmas from the perspective of the many animals who witnessed the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ. This lighthearted adventure is sure to warm the hearts of many while reinforcing time-tested truths found in the Bible.
Executive producer DeVon Franklin says, “Viewers will laugh and be inspired as they experience the power of the faith, friends, and courage through the eyes of these brave heroic animals.”
Directed by Academy Award nominated writer/director Timothy Reckart (Head over Heels), The Star is set to debut on November 10th, just in time for the Christmas season.
