From Torment to Triumph

Ankush is a bright and happy little boy, even though he was born with a clubfoot.

His mother, Asha, explained, “It was very difficult for him to walk, and he fell down a lot. He was always in pain.”

As Ankush grew, his foot only got worse. The family didn’t have enough money to help him.

“We took him to many hospitals, but surgery was expensive,” said Asha.  “At one place, they said a bandage would straighten his foot. We bandaged it for more than a month, but it only made things worse.”

He needed help just to walk to school.

Asha said, “Children made fun of him, so he cried, and I felt sad. We wanted to get the operation done so badly, but we had no money. I looked everywhere for help.”

Then Ankush's family learned about Operation Blessing and reached out to us. We covered the entire cost of his operation.

“Everyone took such good care of Ankush,” Asha said with a smile.  “After the operation, his foot healed quickly. Now he walks without any pain and plays with the other children.”

Ankush doesn’t need help getting to school anymore, and he loves playing cricket with his friends.

Asha said, “I am so grateful to you.  My son is able to walk, run, and play, because of your generous help.”
