The trailer for a new 17-minute documentary about the issues facing President Obama when he moved into the White House nearly four years ago hit the web today.
"The Road We've Traveled" is directed by Davis Guggenheim, the man who produced the film based on Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth." It's narrated by Tom Hanks and includes appearances by Vice President Joe Biden, First Lady Michelle Obama, and other Obama administration officials who tell the story of the state of the country when Obama took office and how he's dealt with America's issues.
The film includes stories about America's economic crisis, the auto industry bailout, and the mission to kill Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan.
This isn't an independent film. It's a favorable look at the president's decisions by people who support his re-election. Team Obama will start showing it at campaign events next week.
Judging by the trailer, "The Road We've Traveled" is a dramatic, patriotic, extremely well produced film. As the GOP primary candidates duke it out on the road to the nomination, President Obama is working hard to look, well, presidential. This film will certainly support his efforts.
