President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney can each count on specific groups of voters to support them on election day. Obama can count on younger voters while Romney can count on older ones.

In their ads and stump speeches, both candidates are working to chip away at the others generational bases.

Georgetown University political scientist Mark Rom says the Obama campaign wants "to pry off support for Romney by focusing on the things that the government does for people who are older. Romney's strategy for the youth is to say, 'look, Obama and the Democrats are saddling your generation with huge amounts of federal debt. You're gonna have to pay for that. Unless we reduce the size and scope of the government now the burden is going to be on you.'"

Beltway Buzz recently talked to voters, young and old, to see what's driving them to the polls this November.

Watch to see what they had to say.
