A 20-year-old black man was shot and killed by police over the weekend. It happened during a traffic stop in a suburb of Minneapolis, only 10 miles away from where former officer Derek Chauvin is on trial for killing George Floyd. Last year, after charges were first filed against Chauvin, Faith Nation anchor John Jessup spoke with several legal experts about the challenges in prosecuting the police. He's on today's CBN News Daily Rundown.

Iran and the US have agreed on a path aimed at re-starting the Iranian Nuclear Deal. The plan is to synchronize Washington's lifting of sanctions with Iran's limiting of uranium enrichment. Coordinating and verifying all of this will take some time, as there's little to no trust between the two sides. April 19th could be the day that every adult in the U.S. becomes eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination.

That's about two weeks earlier than President Biden's original May 1st deadline.

The president is set to announce this news, late Tuesday afternoon.

That's the good news, as close to 3 million people are getting vaccinated each day and more than 18 percent of the population is now fully vaccinated.

But infection rates are up and hospitalizations are still increasing.

CBN's Senior Medical Reporter Lorie Johnson is on today's episode to talk more about these developments.

As lawmakers grapple with how to secure our border and debate over immigration reform, the immigrants who are currently protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program continue to live in limbo. Their permits must be renewed every two years, and with the policy that allows them to live and work in the US constantly threatened by legal challenges, anything beyond those two-year increments feels uncertain. While there is bipartisan support for a permanent solution for DACA recipients, also known as Dreamers, nothing has ever passed both chambers of Congress. Capitol Hill correspondent Abigail Robertson recently spoke with one Dreamer about the tension of living life dependent on a bipartisan solution that seems to always be just out of reach. She's on today's CBN News Daily Rundown.

"Satan Shoes," that's what rapper Lil Nas X is calling a pair of shoes he helped design, released earlier this week. They're made using Nike Air Max 97's, but feature a bronze pentagram charm, an inverted cross, a Bible verse, and actual human blood in the sole of the shoe. Nike says it had nothing to do with this and is suing the New York-based company that collaborated with Lil Nas X on the shoes. Only 666 pairs were available, each costing $1,018, a reference to the Bible passage embroidered on the side of the shoe, Luke 10:18, which reads in part, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from Heaven." While the shoes are controversial, Faithwire editor Tré Goins Phillips says they also provide Christians with an opportunity. He's on today's CBN News Daily Rundown.
