Last week, I discussed how my seven year old stole something from my workplace. I was desperate to get the point across to her that stealing is not only against our written law, but also against God’s law. To teach my children more about God’s law, I want to do some fun projects with my children about the Ten Commandments this week. This blog will cover the first Two Commandments God gave to Moses (Exodus 20).
When you think of nations that are in the crosshairs of the global jihad, the United States and Israel undoubtedly top the list.
America--known to jihadists as the "Great Satan"-- and Israel (the "Little Satan") combined have lost thousands of lives to Islamic terror over the years. Israel, in particular, is uniquely threatened, living under daily fire by its neighbors and in a constant precarious position due to the likes of Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the Al-Aqsa Martyr's Brigade (and before that, Arafat's PLO).
We have a saying here in the United States: "What happens in Vegas, STAYS in Vegas."
In the Middle East, what happens in Syria DOESN"T STAY in Syria. Just ask the Lebanese.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Gerald snapped at his wife, Trish. “I’m not looking at you any particular way,” she countered. “What’s really bothering you?” “What’s really bothering me,” Gerald said slowly, “is that you are prickly and angry; and I don’t like it.” “I wasn’t prickly until you began picking at me,” Trish retorted. “Now, I am mad. I don’t know what’s bothering you, but I sure don’t like your attitude.”
Russia sent a July 4th "greeting" on America's Independence Day when two Russian Tu-95 "Bear" bombers buzzed the fringes of U.S. airspace over the Pacific.
The intended message: "We're still here and we're still a relevant foe."
As much of the nation endures a heat wave, presidential politics are shifting into high gear. President Obama just wrapped up his first bus tour of the campaign making stops in Ohio and Pennsylvania, two hotly contested battleground states.
It wasn't until my marriage fell apart, that God took me on a journey to discover my true worth. He did it by stripping away two of the most important things I derived my identity from my husband and my marriage.
Present Truth Ministries is reporting that apostasy charges have been dropped against Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani.
Those of us who are of a certain age fondly remember the marvelous taste of a tomato...a real tomato. My summertime memories are filled with delicious memories of eating tomato sandwiches. They consisted of garden fresh tomatoes on toasted white bread with a little mayo and salt. It was so good!
Mitt Romney is in danger of losing his footing on the healthcare issue. The mainstream media (and some conservative media, too) will be relentless on him until he can somehow come up with a coherent answer to this question: “Is the individual mandate in Obamacare a tax?”
Right now it appears Romney is trying to have it both ways. In an interview with CBS News, he argues that because the Supreme Court ruled that it was a tax then it’s a tax. End of story.
