The Adventure of Motherhood

CBN.com Debbie was born in Italy.  Her father is Thai and her mother is Italian.  In 1989, her family moved to Bangkok, Thailand when she was 11.  She went to school and learned English and Thai.  Soon she began modeling and by the time she graduated high school, she was a veteran model, actress and TV presenter.

Her passion has always been music. Through her music, God has opened the doors for Debbie to minister to people who are searching for the turth.  She feels she has been given a platform to reach out to cultures that rarely hear the Gospel.  Her Thai album came out in 2004, her Italian album in 2006 and her English CD came out in 2007.  She also recorded the English album in Spanish.  Her second single from Crossover was number 1 for 13 consecutive weeks on the CWR Indie Radio Chart.

Debbie met her husband, Bob, an American missionary to Thailand, when they were both working on staff at a Bible school.  Together they started a ministry, Thailand Harvest Plan, where they train national leaders and plant churches in Thailand.  For the past four years, they have planted six churches, seen over 60,000 people come to know the Lord and have seen over 1,000 instant miracles.

On January 1, Debbie gave birth to their son, Logan, nine months. She never babysat in her life.  “Being a new mother has been challenging me to grow closer to the Lord,” says Debbie.  “You feel so helpless and totally have to walk by faith.”    During the last trimester of her pregnancy, she began having contractions.  Doctors said she might have a premature baby.  Not only is healthcare in Thailand more expensive, she and Bob were believing for a healthy baby, so she prayed, “Lord this cannot happen.”  “I just had this supernatural peace in my heart,” she says.  Confined to bedrest for the last two months, baby Logan ended up being three weeks late!

Several years ago, Debbie started as a translator for CBN’s WorldReach outreaches then became a co-host for Heart to Heart, the Thailand version of The 700 Club.  Recently Debbie recorded the opening song for the Superbook series.  The pilot is completed and 12 episodes are in pre-production.   There plan is to go into animation in April 2010 and the overall vision is to produce 104 episodes.  For more information, please visit www.cbn.com/superbook.
