CBN News Middle East Bureau Chief Chris Mitchell Gives an Update on Israel's Election, Coronavirus Affects on Tourism

One of the holiest sites in the Middle East has closed over fears of the coronavirus across the globe.

17 Israelis now have the coronavirus along with an American woman who spent time in Jerusalem. Four Palestinians are also thought to be infected.

The closing of the Church of the Nativity in the biblical city of Bethlehem comes as the region gears up for one of the busiest tourist times of the year -- Easter season.

The viral spread hitting the region also comes at a time when the final election results in the country are still coming into view.
