The Chases: Honey, I'm Pregnant!

CBN.com In 2002, Lessie Hall started answering telephones at a call center.

“I worked there for three years, and at the end of the second year, my left arm began to hurt really badly. I don’t know what caused it. It could have been the chair that I was sitting in or the height of it. It had caused a jerk all over my body. Every few minutes, my body would jerk in different places. I never did know where it was going to jerk next. It was so intense. I had to stop working, and I was sick for over a year. I was just really sick.”

She continues, “I went to an orthopedist, and he told me that it was nerve damage. He said it was in the lower part of my brain, in my neck. He just almost insisted that I have rotator cuff surgery. Well, I wasn’t ready to do that. I just somehow had a feeling that I didn’t want to do that.”

Lessie was a faithful viewer of The 700 Club and had it on every morning.

“I wouldn’t miss it for anything and that morning, I was watching The 700 Club. I always love to hear Gordon and Terry pray. Gordon started praying for people and he said, ‘There is someone who has a nerve in your brain that is misfiring.' "

Gordon said, “There is a woman watching, and you’ve got a nerve condition that causes — it’s a misfiring, and it causes twitches. And you’ve gotten several diagnoses. None of them seem to add up. God is able. He is healing you right now, and that nervous condition is gone now, in Jesus’ name. What you couldn’t do before, you’re able to do now. And realize that you have been healed by God Almighty."

“I knew that God had healed me that morning. I felt when Gordon was praying that I was healed. It didn’t take long to know it was gone. It left me immediately,” she says. “I don’t have any problems whatsoever, and the jerk is gone. I have no claims on my body; it belongs only to God 100 percent. So who can you give credit to, but God? He is the One who has done it."

Noah Chase is sweet, funny, and he’s simply delightful. But there is one more way to describe Noah -- he’s a miracle. "I knew in my heart I was made to be a mother. That was the desire of my heart to have a child," says Kriste Chase. But after failed attempts to conceive, Kriste was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. "The doctor also said that even if he could get us pregnant, the chances were that either myself or the baby wouldn’t make it through,” she recalls. “I knew that God created me, and God doesn’t make mistakes, but I viewed myself as a mistake because my body couldn’t do what it needed to do to have a baby.” “I was devastated because that was one of the points that I lost all hope. And Chris [Kriste's husband] was so good about everything. Chris kept the faith, and when I was angry at God, Chris would stop and pray. And when I didn’t have words to pray, Chris would just pray for us. He never lost faith.” ”I regularly watch The 700 Club, and I’ve heard the different Words of Knowledge. You know, I just chalk it up to... there’s someone out there, that’s very general. Pat was giving a Word of Knowledge about someone who had my condition who was going to be healed, who was barren, and who's going to have a child. I never really believed it all that much. But as Pat was speaking that day, the Lord was speaking to my heart at the same time, and I knew in my soul that He was speaking to me, and that I was going to be healed and have a child,” says Kriste. Shortly after she received this amazing word, Kriste started to have a cycle again. Then, one month she was late and decided to take a pregnancy test. "I took the test and it was positive. I could not believe it. And I started screaming.” Today, every time Kriste and Chris look at the face of their precious son, they are reminded of one thing: "There is hope. God answers prayers and He is faithful," she says.
