Coming Soon: Mister Rogers 'Neighborhood' Movie Draws Rave Reviews at Toronto Film Fest

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, the feature film about the life and work of Fred Rogers scored rave reviews at the Toronto Film Festival last weekend.

The movie stars Tom Hanks and will not appear in American theaters until November.

The film tells the story of a real-life friendship between Mister Rogers and cynical journalist Tom Junod. Rogers sees and accepts his friend as a child of God, illustrating how one person can inspire a world of kindness.

After a jaded magazine writer (Emmy winner Matthew Rhys) is assigned a profile of Fred Rogers, he overcomes his skepticism, learning about kindness, love and forgiveness from America's most beloved neighbor.
