Cynthia's Prayer for Relief

Cynthia Azevedo thought her walking would improve after a successful hip replacement surgery 4 years ago. Instead, a complication from the surgery resulted in a 3-year journey of pain. That is, until one day, her prayers for relief were answered through an unexpected source. SOT 1 I went in to have a total hip replacement of my right hip. The surgery was successful; however, when the surgeons had to hammer the replacement into my bone it irritated the sciatic nerve. And that was the problem. SOT 2 I couldn’t do anything in the physical therapy. It was very painful, and the pain never left. SOT 3 There was no way I could raise my right leg that high to even climb the step. It was impossible, the pain was so bad. SOT 4 My doctor told me that I would have to live in 24/7 pain for the rest of my life. SOT 5 I have a wonderful prayer partner, her name is Benita, and Benita and I would get together and one thing that we always prayed for was my healing. SOT 6 We were praying that morning and that was one of my depressing mornings. But Benita prayed for a healing. SOT 7 I said Lord, this glory is all yours. If anything can help Cynthia, it’s only You. Nobody else can, the doctors have given no hope and the only way she’s going to be relieved of this pain is if you touch her and heal her. SOT 8 So when our prayer time was over, I showed her out and I went to grab myself my second cup of coffee to watch The 700 Club. SOT 9 I was feeling really sorry for myself. But God, with his mercy said I have a different idea for you. So when Pat Robertson gave the word of knowledge, he said: SOT 10 There’s a hip problem. The Lord is healing you. SOT 11 and I kinda sat up at that and I said a hip? Hmmm, okay, but not really, it’s the sciatic nerve, and then the next words out of his mouth were: SOT 12 and that’s why the sciatic nerve is not going to hurt anymore. Whatever’s been rubbing and hurting that nerve has been shifted, and you will be totally healed, in the name of Jesus. SOT 13 And I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was mine. It was my healing. SOT 14 I jumped up out of my chair and I was able to raise my leg up and I was able to go up and down my stairs (emotional) like a normal person and I have never had that pain come back again. SOT 15 As soon as I heard her voice, I was expecting something. I go what is it Cynthia, what is it? I felt it was an answer to prayer of something. So it was incredible. SOT 16 It’s a great difference. And in her smile, in her countenance. She’s not in pain. SOT 16 It is healed, it is healed, my God did that. Even at my lowest point, he reached down and touched me.
