Thirty-five year old Orrachon of Thailand carries a heavy load. She is the only breadwinner for her disabled husband and young son. And work has not been steady. When she does work, she only makes about five U.S. dollars a day. “I saw that our son is growing up fast,” Orrachon explains. “He really needs to go to school. I know things are difficult, but I have to be strong.” In the midst of these challenges, a flood hit Orrachon’s village and damaged the inside of their home so badly that they had to move.
