Drinking Dirty Water
CBN.com - Caroline Tembe lives in a small village in South Africa. Her husband takes care of their crops while she does the daily chores. But they have no running water, so each day Caroline walks miles to fetch water at the river.
"Sometimes we get to the river and we find people washing clothes and bathing, but we don't have a choice but to get the water to cook and drink," Caroline said. "It's so difficult."
The river is so far that sometimes she gets water from a pond nearby. But it's even dirtier than the river water.
"We knew that God saw our need, and we prayed for his help."
So when CBN's Living Water team drilled a well next to the family's house, they rejoiced!
"I am very happy that we have this well," she said. "We can draw water anytime we need it. It is so easy to get water that we can even have a drink at night when we are thirsty. And we always have enough water in the house. I thank God for using you to bring us this water."
Their new well has also been a blessing to others.
"Our neighbors use the well, too," Caroline explained. "We all have enough. Thank you very much CBN."
