TD Jakes New Book 'Don't Drop the Mic' Explains How Better Communication Can Strengthen Your Voice

In his new book, New York Times best-selling author and pastor Bishop T.D. Jakes examines why our words matter so much.

The book titled "Don't Drop the Mic: The Power of Your Words Can Change the World" was released last week. 

Drawing lessons from scripture and his own life, Jakes teaches us how to communicate more boldly and effectively so our words can have the greatest impact on others.  

Bishop Jakes told CBN's Prayer Link that the words we choose and the manner in which they are spoken can increase the likelihood that others will listen.

"I think it matters more now than it ever has in the history of this country because our country is trying to have a tough conversation about race, injustice, health, disparities, and we haven't been equipped with the language to address it."
