Married to Brady, three kids

THE UNEXPECTED
After years of yo-yo dieting, Brittany Williams found that none of them had lasting results. After marrying Brady and having their first child, at only 5’3”, Brittany’s weight ballooned to 260 pounds. She went on to have two more healthy children, but Brittany also suffered three miscarriages--one baby was stillborn at 39 weeks. When her 4-year-old daughter was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, Brittany began cooking wholesome anti-inflammatory meals for her family. Yet, Brittany still ate poorly.  One day, her daughter asked her why she ate like that. In that moment, Brittany realized that she loved her family enough to take care of their bodies, but she didn’t extend the same care to herself.  In January 2017, Brittany made a resolution to try and cook at home for a year and cut out fast and processed foods. To help, Brady bought her an Instant Pot. She was overwhelmed by all the buttons on it, so the pot sat in the box for weeks. When Brady asked if he should return it, her guilt kicked in and she opened the box. As Brittany figured out how to use it and began cooking with non-processed, gluten-free foods, she came up with delicious recipes. The by-product?  The weight started falling off her. In April 2017, she went on Facebook to share how using the Instant Pot was changing her life. The post went viral! Friend requests and questions from people she had never met were pouring in, asking if she could share her recipes with them or if she had a cookbook. By the end of 2017, Brittany had lost 125 pounds.

In her latest cookbook, Instant Loss: Eat Real, Lose Weight, Brittany says it’s time to ditch the diet mentality by putting yourself first and making healthy lifestyle changes that last. “No one thrives on a processed food diet,” she continues, “I want to encourage you to stop pursuing skinny. If weight loss is your main motivation, I’m going to share with you why that might be foiling your progress.”  You can eat delicious food and still lose weight. At first, it requires change but like anything else, once you discover your new favorite recipes and implement them, they become your new normal. In her book, Brittany provides healthy, wholesome recipes made with an Instant Pot, air fryer, high powered blender, and other kitchen gadgets.

Her next cookbook, Instant Loss On a Budget comes out later this year. After that, she will be working on writing her memoir. Brittany is thrilled to share her testimony since many of the shows she has been on thus far have only scratched the surface.

BACKGROUND
Brittany Williams grew up as the oldest of seven children. Her parents were teenagers when she was born and were still trying to figure out parenting. So they ate a lot of fast and processed foods. These poor eating habits stuck with Brittany for years.

Her mother was a strong Christian, but her father wasn’t until later in life when he attended a Promise Keepers event and got radically saved. Brittany was involved in church and became a youth/worship leader when she was a teenager. She went on to go attend the one year King’s College worship program and graduated with a certificate of completion. Brittany met her husband at church.
