Embraced by Love

Angela Perkins is a single mom who loves spending time with her boys.
She says, “My kids are four and six. We do a lot of activities together. One of them is like my science guy, Bryson. He loves doing experiments.”
A couple years ago, Angela started her own in-home daycare. But when the enrollment numbers dwindled, bills piled up.
“It’s been very difficult financially,” Angela said. “I didn’t know where we would have our next complete meal. To have to be in a position like that and have children to support at the same time, it made me feel bad as a single mom.”
When a friend told Angela about Operation Blessing partner, Warehouse of Hope, she was astounded by what she discovered.
She shared, “My first time coming, I was amazed by the amount of food that they gave me I was just like, ‘Woah!’ You get things--name brand things--in bulk. It was mind-blowing. And just to be able to put a whole meal together and not break the bank to do it, it’s a blessing. It’s a blessing.”
Now Angela has a stable job working remotely. She says she’s grateful to Operation Blessing partners for helping her get back on her feet.
“I appreciate everything that you all are doing,” she says. “It’s such a blessing. You never know how you affect other people’s lives. And for me to have somebody support me and my family, and my children, and other people’s children, there’s no words that can express how I truly feel about that.”
