Life Transformed Thanks to Super Kids Club
CAMBODIA - Prodding 14-year-old Chay to do more than laze around all day became a great challenge to her mom and dad who worked hard farming. The Cambodian teen wouldn’t even hang out with her friends.
“I never helped to do work with the family. And I did not want to study or socialize with my friends,” says Chay Romdoul.
That changed after the sixth grader watched the CBN program Super Kids Club (SKC). Friends had told Chay about SKC and taken her to meet the pastor at the church in her village. He told her more about SKC and let her watch it on TV.
The 30-minute weekly children’s program is written and produced entirely in Cambodia. Each episode teaches kids biblical truth and lessons using games, skits and songs. Along with the fun, they learn how much God loves and values them, and they are given a message of hope. Chay watched SKC for two months and decided to write a letter to the program.
“Thank you SKC for teaching me how to study, to obey, and to love my parents, friends and neighbors,” expressed Chay. “Thank you for teaching me about God and that God loves me so much!”
Discovering how important she is to God sparked Chay to pray with her pastor to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior. At the same time she asked God for extra help with her studies. Now she’s a good student and she respects her parents. In her free time Chay likes to read the Bible. She loves God so much she says she has to tell her other friends about Him. So far, 10 of them have also accepted Jesus. Chay brought them to church so they could learn more.
“I want to say thank you so much for God’s blessing in my life through CBN Cambodia’s ministry,” says Chay. “It always supports and encourages me.”
