When the coolest part of a summer flick is completely destroyed, what's left? A rubble of a movie.

Unfortunately, that's what happens with Dwayne Johnson and Neve Campbell's new action film. Skyscraper just falls apart.

The story centers on Will Sawyer (Johnson), a former FBI agent who now works in security. His latest job is assessing a brand-new structure in Hong Kong, the tallest, most-advanced building in the world. When it is set ablaze, Sawyer must find a way to save his family, who are trapped above the fire line.

Skyscraper's action sequences will blow you away, but too much of it is over-the-top, way beyond the realm of reality (not a fan of that). And the script issues and predictability will leave you chalking this up to being a dumb summer flick.

What you see in the trailer is what you get -- a visual spectacle, a few 'whoa' moments, two adorable kid actors, and that's it.

Outlandish is the best descriptor. So unless you're looking to just watch stuff explode and 'The Rock' defy physics, then you'll be OK to pass on this one.

Rated PG-13 for sequences of gun violence and action, and for brief strong language, Skyscraper is not for kids (guy, who brought his baby to the screening!). Caution is advised.

Skyscraper needs audiences to overlook its flaws. I just can't.
