Centricity Music's Lauren Daigle Poised for Debut Release
(Nashville, Tenn.) March 4, 2015 — Centricity Music’s Lauren Daigle is poised to release her debut album, How Can It Be, on April 14, 2015. The critically acclaimed and chart-topping singer/songwriter has quickly become one of the breakout artists of 2015 in the Christian Music industry. Her new project, produced by Paul Mabury and Jason Ingram, features 12 songs, with nine of the tunes written or co-written by Daigle. The additional four new songs weren’t featured on the five-song digital EP or the physical nine-song EP, which was only available on Daigle’s tour dates. The full album will be available at all music retail and online outlets.
“It is such a fulfilling feeling to see the release of Lauren’s debut project. The story of How Can It Be started on July 11, 2014, when the title track was released to radio. “How Can It Be” resonated with fans, radio and the press, who unanimously connected with Daigle’s soulful and powerhouse vocals and led to comparisons to Adele and Amy Winehouse. The single still remains active in the Top Ten on Billboard’s Christian Singles chart, after peaking at No. 7 on the NCA chart, No. 8 on the AC Monitored chart and No. 7 on the AC Indicator chart. In 2014, the single reached No. 1 on the iTunes Christian Singles Chart and continues to top that download chart. It was also named by iTunes as one of the Top Christian songs last year. At the same time, the EP How Can It Be reached No. 1 on iTunes Christian Albums Chart and was named one of the Top 20 Christian releases in 2014 by the online retail outlet. Daigle also achieved her first music industry awards show nomination from the K-LOVE Fan Awards for Worship Song of the Year.
How Can It Be launches with the new song, “First,” which is based on Matthew 6:33, But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. The additional new songs include, “My Revival” on how we find rest through Christ and how He renews out strength, “Loyal” relates how Christ’s love is faithful and He will never leave us, and “Here’s My Heart” about giving it all to the Lord. Also featured are the fan favorites, “Come Alive (Dry Bones),” “O’Lord,” and “Power To Redeem (featuring All Sons & Daughters),” along with Daigle’s mega-hit and breakout song with the title track.
Daigle has joined the spring leg of Big Daddy Weave’s The Beautiful Offerings Tour, that launched Feb. 18th and also features labelmate, Jason Gray.
