Obama, Once Again, Says Gadhafi Must Go
During a press conference today, President Obama was asked about the situation in Libya. He responded with yet another call for the Libyan leader, Moammar Gadhafi, saying he must go.
"We are slowly tightening the noose on Gadhafi. He is more and more isolated internationally, both through sanctions as well as an arms embargo," Obama said.
The President also listed the steps the U.S. has taken to address the situation in Libya, including helping American citizens get out of the country, to safety, as well as providing humanitarian aid to the people there and freezing Gadhafi's assets.
"I am absolutely clear that it is in the interest of the United States, and more importantly, in the interest of the Libyan people for Mr. Qaddafi to leave," the President said.
Obama declared, once again, that all options are on the table, including a no-fly zone. He did, however, stress that he will take his time making up his mind before any military action is taken, saying he wants to consider all possible consequences.
