Michael Tait and Lynda Randle Headline National Christmas Tree Lighting

Siblings and Christian music standouts Michael Tait and Lynda Randle and Michael Tait will be leading the virtual celebration of the 98th National Christmas Tree Lighting. Singer/songwriter, author, speaker and television personality Randle is a familiar face (and voice) at Gaither Homecoming events and videos, and award-winningTait is a founding member of DC Talk, and has been the frontman for Newsboys for over a decade. The all-star lineup of performers include Kellie Pickler, Matthew West, Colton Dixon, Passion, and "The President's Own" United States Marine Band.

Lighting the National Christmas Tree is one of America’s oldest holiday traditions, with the first lighting taking place in 1923 by President Calvin Coolidge. Since 1973, the National Christmas Tree has been a living tree which can be viewed year-round in Washington’s President’s Park.

This year's virtual ceremony can be viewed on-demand at thenationaltree.org starting December 3 at 5:00 pm EST and throughout the holiday season.
