David Brody: If you win Ohio, how does the race change?
Rick Santorum: Wow. We’re getting outspent 12 to 1. Name a candidate who spends 12 times as much, $12 million and 90 percent of it negative, just beating up on somebody. We’re here David and Goliath. David at least had stones in his slingshot. We’re throwing peashooters at this guy, and here we are. We’re at a dead heat.
I just feel, I mean, we’re winning. No matter what happens tomorrow, we’re winning. The fact that this race has evolved to where it is. All the momentum, all the Michigan that he pulled out, and the national media saying, 'Oh, it’s inevitable,' and yet people in Ohio are sticking with us, and that’s just so gratifying to see the people hanging tough with us.
