So much for the traditional press conference. But what a moment it was! Call it, "Ted's Excellent Adventure."??In DC Thursday afternoon, Concerned Women for America’s Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC) held a rally to protest the Obama administration’s nuclear weapons Deal with Iran. There are plenty of concerns but this rally highlighted the fact that despite the deal, four Americans are still being held hostage. Enter Ted Cruz.??

The GOP presidential candidate began to hold court when folks from Code Pink and other liberal protesters (they call themselves peace protesters) tried to interrupt Cruz’s speech. What transpired next was classic Ted Cruz. Instead of just telling them to be quite, he invited them over to have a dialogue. This is why people like Ted Cruz. He’s not afraid of a fight or a debate on the issues. He doesn’t back down and when he engages like this he shows himself to be in total command of a hostile environment which just endears him to conservatives even more. Watch the video below.??

Below is some more on today’s press conference including a statement from CWALAC CEO and President.?

"Our president ignoring U.S. interests abroad and a State Department in over its head is once again ignoring Americans being held hostage in Iran. Reminiscent of 1979, when Iranian students stormed the U.S. embassy in Tehran and successfully captured fifty-two Americans, once again U.S. citizens are being mistreated and unjustly imprisoned by the theocratic, Islamic regime."

??“The four current hostages have been held far longer than the 444 days the Americans in 1979. Pastor Saeed Abedini has been held over 1,000 days (three years), former-Marine Amir Hekmati has been imprisoned since 2011 (four years), former-FBI agent Robert Levinson has been missing since 2007 (eight years), and Washington Post reporter Jason Renzaian has been a prisoner for a year.”??

"The recent negotiations with Iran evoke terrible memories from past dealings under the Carter Administration's sweaty-palmed foreign policy and ineptitude. Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee members call on Congress to pass a resolution of disapproval of this so-called 'deal' based off of the poor judgement and lack of content included. CWALAC also urges the White House to demand the release of U.S. hostages that were left in Iran. In solidarity with our fellow Americans being held by this repressive regime, we will wear yellow ribbons at this upcoming demonstration. "
