Tearful Kim Davis To Brody File: "I’m a very unlikely person to stand and defend the word of God”
Kim Davis, the Kentucky County Clerk who stood strong for her Christian faith by refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples, spoke with The Brody File Friday at the Values Voter Summit in Washington DC. She went to jail for what she did. She’s turned into a hero within the conservative evangelical Christian community. Watch her get emotional when I asked her about how God uses imperfect vessels throughout biblical history. Davis has been married three times but recently gave her life to Jesus Christ.

Kim Davis: “I struggled with that myself. Why would God, out of all people choose me with my past to stand up and defend something that I had failed so miserably at in the world? And then I had to remember that I’m a new person when I gave my life to Christ. His blood cleansed me, washed me clean and the old has passed away and the new stands in front of you. Yes, I’m a very unlikely person to stand and defend the word of God.”
