Unable to Hold a Gallon of Milk!
“It was a stabbing pain, and then sometimes a burning pain,” Jill Bloom said while pointing toward the area of her affliction. “It felt like somebody was taking a hot poker – a stab just down inside my shoulder. And it was excruciating. It would put me in tears sometimes.”
“I woke up one morning and I had a really bad pain in my shoulder,” Jill recalled. “There was a lot of tingling and numbness and sometimes throbbing, and the numbness would shoot down to my fingertips and there'd be radiating pain.”
“I thought maybe it might have been the way I had slept, or it could have been some lifting,” Jill speculated. “I do in-home health care, so I wasn't certain if it was something that I had done at work. My grip started failing. It got so bad that I couldn't lift anything. I couldn't carry anything. I couldn't even lift a gallon of milk.”
“I didn't go to the doctor or get it checked out because times were tough,” Jill said. I don't have insurance and I didn't have the money to do it, in all honesty. So, I just hoped it would work itself out and go away – but it didn't. I prayed. I prayed a lot.”
“One day I was at work,” Jill remembered. “I was walking out of the room and Pat Robertson was on the TV and he was praying. As I walked by the television he said…”
“Someone, you’ve got a numbness in your left shoulder,” Pat Robertson prayed. “There’s a numbness and right now, just if you could reach up and touch it with your hand, just reach up in the name of Jesus. TOUCH! Take it and begin to praise God.”
“I instantly put my hand on my shoulder,” Jill said as she reenacted the moment. “Warmth, I remember warmth. I started moving my fingers around, it was like I had the feeling back. The pain started to dissipate and the tingling started to go away, the numbness started to go away. I was very moved by it. I cried like a baby.”
“I am extremely grateful for the healing,” Jill said as tears filled her eyes. “I'm able to lift and move my arms without any restrictions. I had forgotten what it was like to not have that pain and when the pain went away it was nice to be able to get back to being able to do things. Every day I make sure I offer up my blessings and the thankfulness for everything that I have. I want to be able to be a testimony for people and let them know to hang onto your faith and your hope and prayer really does work.”
