2 Parents, 8 Kids—in 2 Rooms!

CBN.com - Tatiana and her husband Sergey live with their 8 children in Transnistria- a small territory on the eastern side of Moldova.

Their tiny home has only two rooms and no water, gas, or electricity.

Seasonal farm work provides a small income; not nearly enough to support this large family.

Everything must be done quickly and taking turns. We do not have enough light, not enough gas, or water.

Tatiana and Sergey love their children and want the best for them. But the "best" is but a dream in this harsh reality

"After school the children come home; and it is already nearly dark," Tatiana said. They cannot see to do their homework ."

"We are always lighting the room with candles. It is very hard to breathe,"

"The government didn't understand how we could live without water and electricity," Tatiana explained. "They told us that they were looking into terminating our parental rights and taking our children to an orphanage."

CBN's Orphans Promise heard about this struggling family through a local church partner in the area.

Working together, we found them a home with four spacious rooms, electricity, water, and heat. It even has enough land for farming. The gift of a new washing machinge made this Tranistrian home makeover complete.

"I want to say thank you to everybody who helped us, for everything," Angelina said. "For our house - for this new washing machine!"

"Thank you very much to the people from America, to everybody who helped our family, thank you," Tatiana added.
