- In 1997, Randy and Connie Dollar closed the doors on their auto repair business in Chewulah, Washington.Randy remembers how it felt to let it go.“Losing it, yeah it hurt. I didn’t want it to happen but the stress of owning the old business at the time, it was good to be done.”The failed business combined with credit card spending eventually left them with what Connie calls a mountain of debt.“I took a poster board and I drew a mountain and I listed all our debts and I started speaking the Word," she remembers.Every time YaTong saw someone dancing, she had to join in. YaTong’s mother, Mrs.Mirian’s teacher had asked her students to bring some food items to class to help families in need. When it came time for Mirian to contribute, she slipped out of her chair.When Billy and Victoria Edwards married, they were ready to live the American Dream. But with both working entry level jobs, they couldn’t afford to buy the things they wanted.Robert and Christina enjoy spending time together with their three kids. They're careful not to take that time for granted because Robert is an Army Staff Sargent and often has to leave Christina and the boys behind for months.In Manila, the Philippines, 7-year-old David made lots of new friends when he went to a day camp last summer. He also met some bullies.Elijah loves to play soccer with his friends in an open field he calls his ‘favorite spot’. But his favorite spot got smaller every day, because it was also the community garbage dump.Every day, even when she was pregnant, Lilia waded into the river near her home to fish. Lilia spent most days neck deep in the water setting her nets near the shore.
