Lessons for Life After 25-plus years of ministry, marriage, parenting, faith, and music, the members of Point of Grace say they have an increasing desire to share the life lessons they’ve learned with those coming behind them. “The ‘older’ teaching the ‘younger’ and preserving the story of Christ from generation to generation are becoming more and more important to us the older that we get,” Shelley says.
“I've seen what homelessness does to families.” says Leo Gorcey, “I've seen how it rips apart families, I've seen what it does to children. When I think about the children in this country, in our country, that we let our children go without food and shelter, I had to do something.” Leo Gorcey is development director for vehicles for changes, a non-profit organization in Oregon that converts retired school busses into homes for homeless families.
Tom and Maity Schrecengost have enjoyed 60 years of marriage and show no signs of slowing down. Maity shares, “We find ourselves living a lifestyle that we would've never expected.
