My husband and I were attending local church for the past year. We felt it was a good fit for us, so we took the membership class. In the class, we were asked to sign a contract that stated we do not use tobacco, alcohol and drugs; also that we don’t use profanity or gamble; we are not involved in pornography or sexual immorality; and that there is nothing in our past or present that would create confusion in the minds of others as to our involvement in the church.
