Jeffrey Thompson was a hardworking lawyer who suffered from diverticulitis. He went in for surgery and almost died. For 24 hours after his surgery, he had internal bleeding that went unchecked. He woke up long enough to take his wife's hand, then died. His spirit floated above the room and saw a bright light. He felt loved and at peace. When he woke up the next day, he was a changed man.
