Kenneth Copeland and Pat Robertson Reflect On Their Friendship
A FAVORITE MEMORY
Kenneth and Pat, both pilots, were flying together one day many years ago as Kenneth, the more experienced pilot, gave his good friend a flying lesson. Pat was at the controls when the plane started to shake. He looked to Kenneth for guidance, who said, “You see that shake? Let her shake. That plane knows more about flying than you do.” As they recounted that story on Kenneth’s last appearance on The 700 Club on December 17, 2019, both men laughed, and Pat added, “Fortunately, I didn’t kill myself, and you were a good pilot.”
THOUGHTS ON PAT
“The thing that stands out the most about Brother Robertson is his love for people,” Kenneth says. “That love for people gave birth to Operation Blessing and it is incalculable what that has done for the whole world.” Also on the 12/17/19 program, he returned to Pat the model of the flying hospital that had been given him and his wife, Gloria. He made clear that CBN was the first ministry to have a flying hospital, which was “marvelous – what a fabulous airplane.”
