You Gave Her a Beautiful Smile
Arusha, Tanzania
Rhoda always wanted a daughter. After five boys, her dream finally came true.
Rhoda said, “Elisia is my little princess. She is such a happy baby, and I was happy when she was born. But when I saw she had a cleft lip, I felt terrible.”
Friends told Rhoda to take Elisia to the hospital to be treated, but as farm workers, the family couldn’t afford it.
“I worry about her future, because she will never have a normal life,” said Rhoda. “I pray God will make a way for us to get her treated.”
One morning at church, Rhoda learned about Plaster House, a ministry supported by Operation Blessing. She left with her baby right after church and arrived here eleven hours later. We soon arranged and paid for Elisia’s surgery.
“Elisia looks beautiful,” said Rhoda. “I love to dress her up and tell her how pretty she is. As she grows up, I will remind her about what God has done for her. May God bless you for helping her, and may He refresh your giving spirit, so more lives can be changed.”
