Duck Dynasty Daughter "Lives Original"

DUCK DYNASTY
For as long as Sadie can remember, she dreamed of serving God and helping other people learn about Him. As a young child, she prayed and asked every night for Him to show her how to spread His Word. For a long time that didn’t happen, until finally, when she was fourteen she began filming episodes of Duck Dynasty with her family. Because of the show, she has had the opportunity to talk about God every single day to about a million people. “I can tweet a Bible verse or an encouraging truth about God, and it can go out to people everywhere almost instantly, “ shares Sadie. “The show is an opportunity to put my love for God in the spotlight.” After eleven seasons, the Robertson’s’ reality series on A&E will end. The series finale is set for April 12.

WINTERJAM 2017
Sadie was invited to speak/host at WinterJam 2017, which is Christian music’s largest annual tour, which  covers 45 cities during a period of three months. Ten of Christian music’s best and brightest artists: Crowder, Britt Nicole, Tenth Avenue North, Andy Mineo, Colton Dixon, Thousand Foot Krutch, NewSong and more will perform.  In addition, there will be worship and ministry. Sadie has worked with WinterJam since 2015 and previously, she interviewed the artists who performed.

LIVE ORIGINAL
When Sadie was little she loved to tell jokes, imitate people, and perform for her family. Her dad, Willie, even nicknamed her  “The Original.”  It is a name that has stuck with Sadie through the years. She says, “living original takes courage...it means being a new kind of different and being confident that He made you in a really cool, unique way.” As an advocate for her generation, Sadie likes to encourage teens not to be a copycat, but to be an original.  In 2014, she wrote a New York Times bestseller about faith and Christian values called "Live Original" She has also written a devotional by the same title (Live Original) for young women and teen girls to help navigate their complicated, fun, stressful lives with reminders like:

  • Do an attitude check – stop complaining and approach each day looking for the good.
  • Be careful what you say – use your words to build each other up instead of tearing one another down. If you hear teens talking unkindly about others take a stand and let them know that is not okay.
  • Discover your gift – don’t sit around and wait for your gift to be revealed. Start serving and your gift will rise to the top.
  • Dream big – Get along with God. Think, pray, and plan. God has the ability to make your dreams come true.
  • Five seconds of awkward – Stand up for your beliefs and do what’s right. Don’t let five seconds of awkward ruin a lifetime of awesome.

Sadie will launch her second annual Live Original tour in the fall of 2017 where she will continue to spread her message to peers about being confident in a relationship with God. There will be live speaking and interactive sessions from Sadie and the SQUAD (John Luke, Mary Kate, Reed, Brighton, and Cole) as well as high-energy music concerts by Family Force 5 and Love & The Outcome.

Other business ventures for Sadie include a prom dress line with Sherri Hill, school supplies for DaySpring, jewelry and home goods with Glory Haus, and a fashion line with Rue 21. She also partnered with Roma Boots and worked alongside them in their mission to “give poverty the boot.”
