Creators Behind “Godwink” Series Share New Christmas Movie
MIRACLE OF LOVE
SQuire, Louise, and Kathie Lee Gifford are the executive producers of the fourth Godwink Hallmark movie, titled "A Godwink Christmas: Miracle of Love," which premieres on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel on December 11, 2021. The movie is based on a true story from the original Godwink book published over 20 years ago. Below is a description of the film:
“Now that Joy (Katherine Barrell) has completed her education, she’s ready to fulfill her dream of becoming a nurse and follow in her late mother’s footsteps. Back at home before the holiday and with no job on the horizon, Joy’s interest is piqued by a volunteer opportunity out of town. There, she meets Eric (Alberto Frezza), who is also at a crossroads. As they become immersed in the effort to build a new home for a family at Christmas, Joy and Eric both find a new sense of purpose. Through a series of coincidences – or, Godwinks – and a medical miracle, they begin to believe in destiny.”
In their previous movie a subtle musical chime was added to remind viewers when a Godwink was taking place. At a Godwink Watch Party they handed out a basket of little bells. SQuire and Louise encouraged viewers when they saw a Godwink in the film to ring the bell. They encourage fans to have a Godwink Watch Party with their friends and family this holiday season when they watch "A Godwink Christmas: Miracle of Love."
Previous Godwink movies on the Hallmark channel include: A Godwink Christmas (2018); A Godwink Christmas: Meant for Love (2019); and A Godwink Christmas: First Loves, Second Chance (2020).
SQuire and Louise are thrilled to bring messages of hope at a time when our country needs it the most. They are thankful for their relationship with Hallmark Movies and Mysteries channel because SQuire shares, “They are not afraid of the word God.” Both SQuire and Louise want audiences to begin to recognize the so-called coincidences in their own lives as actual Godwinks.
The next film for SQuire and Louise is "Rescued by Ruby," the Netflix film about the true story of Ruby, the shelter dog who became a K9 hero that is featured in their Dogwinks book, is set to premiere next year, starring Grant Gustin (The Flash). Both SQuire and Louise are executive producers and spent multiple weeks on set in Canada earlier this year.
THE FELLMANS
In real life, as in the movie, Joy Fellman has been a nurse all her life and only recently slowed down a bit. Eric Fellman's writing skills for his college magazine were personally spotted by Norman Vincent Peale who subsequently recruited him to head up the Peale Center overseeing Guideposts Magazine and other activities. He worked with the National Prayer Breakfast for a good number of years prior to serving as CEO of the Bible League. Allegedly "slowing down" himself, he formed a global leadership and sales consulting company for which Gateway Church and other faith organizations are his clients.
GODWINKS DEFINED
While writing his first book, When God Winks, SQuire found himself asking, “If there’s no coincidence to coincidence, what do you call it?” He and Louise talked and prayed about it for weeks. “One day the new little word floated into my consciousness ⎯ Godwink. He substituted Godwink for every use of the term coincidence in his manuscript and it worked.
"Out of seven billion people on the planet, a Godwink is a direct, person-to-person message of hope and encouragement,” SQuire explains, “and Godwinks happen to everyone. They are extraordinary things that have happened to you; things you perhaps wondered about and maybe even dismissed as too unbelievable to believe. When you develop the ability to see the Godwinks that are unfolding in your life, your entire existence becomes infinitely richer, happier, and more certain.”
