Helping the Homeless Every Christmas

CBN.com - For the past two years on Christmas morning, Sinclair Johnson travels to the nation’s capitol to lend a helping hand and heart to the people he calls “invisible”.

Sinclair grew up poor in Washington, D.C., so the homeless are close to his heart.

Sinclair said, “They just love the fact that somebody cared about them and loved them.”

That’s the reason Sinclair has been a CBN partner for over 30 years.  He believes CBN cares about, what he cares about - people in need.

“What’s important to me is CBN reaches out to people across the country and around the world.” 

Sinclair still remembers why he started watching The 700 Club.

“I was searching for the Lord. And I started watching CBN and I thought it was so fantastic I fell in love with the program,” said Sinclair.

And around the same time he gave his life to Jesus Christ he also learned about giving while watching the show.

“Oh I’ll remember that if I live to be a thousand years old,” chuckled Sinclair. “Pat said, I always take care of God’s business first.  And that made a tremendous impression on me.”

He says he quickly started tithing. And over the years has increased his giving to CBN. As a result his career in automotive advertising took off.

“My income started to increase, double, triple, quadruple, and beyond my expectations.”

Sinclair says spending Christmas day with the homeless happens only once a year but his partnership with CBN helps him reach out all year long.

“What’s important to me is CBN reaches out to people across America and around the world. This is my way of reaching across the country and around the world through, via CBN.”
