Praying For A Home

CBN.com -- For years Dionisia sold candy at bus stops to save enough money to buy a house. She finally reached her goal.

 “I used the money I saved to buy wood," she revealed. "My neighbors helped me build the house. It was small with not much room, but it was my home!" she said excitedly.

Dionisia is a single mom raising her 14-year-old son Arturo. They were getting by until the both came down with tuberculosis. They only way they could survive and pay for medicine, was to sell their house and land and go to live with relatives.

"What could I do?" Dionisia said with tears in her eyes.  "I had to save our lives. I could only pray and ask God to help us find another house."

Six months later Dionisia and her son recovered from the TB but they had nowhere to live.  With the help from some friends, they found some land, and put up a makeshift house made of cardboard and plastic.  When Operation Blessing saw they were living, we immediately offered to build them a new house for free.
