Selling Everything to Pay the Witchdoctors

Savita and her husband raised livestock to support their family in western India, but then Savita and her children got very sick. They sold everything they owned, including their animals, to pay for medicine and witch doctors.

With an anxious heart, Savita said, "I thought our daughters would have to drop out of school and work as day laborers so we could survive."

That's when they heard about Jesus Christ from a local pastor.

"My family and I put our complete faith in Jesus Christ as our one, true God," explained Savita.  "We prayed to Him and He healed my family and me!"

Savita's husband added, "Then we prayed that Jesus would help us with our finances."

CBN found out about Savita’s family through their pastor.  We helped them restart their business by giving them a pair of goats.

"We are so happy that you blessed us with two goats," said Savita’s husband. "We will breed them and sell the extra goats to pay for our living expenses."

Savita gratefully said, "God was faithful to us and answered our prayers!  Now that you blessed us with these goats, my family will have lots of milk to drink and my daughters can continue to go to school.  You really helped our family!"
