Toxic Warmth

CBN.com —Vladik and his mother struggle every winter just to stay warm.

“We have a terrible stove,” says Vladik. “It provides no warmth, just smoke. I can’t even sleep. I choke and cough all the time. My mother does, too.”

The smoke inside the house is so thick and suffocating, it could kill them.  So when CBN went to Vladik's village on a medical mission, we knew we had to do something extra to help them.  We put in insulation, fixed their windows and doors, and installed a new stove.

“Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for us. May God bless you,” says Vladik’s mother Rosa.

“I love the new stove,” says Vladik. “It doesn’t smoke at all!  I also got some good clothes, which are very nice.”

With the help of CBN, Vladik and his mom can cook hot meals easily and safely.  And they won’t get sick or risk suffocating or freezing anymore.

“It is snowing outside, but inside we will be warm and comfortable,” says Vladik.  “Thank you!”
