Using Logic to Raise Your Income

CBN.com -After Tony Rose retired from the army he and his wife Bev moved to Kentucky. He started a successful counseling practice, but even with his military retirement, their finances weren’t quite what they had expected,

Tony: I was doing ok as a therapist with the income that was coming in but I wasn’t really realizing what I thought we should be earning at that point in our life.

Tony and Bev are Christians, but tithing was not a big priority.

Tony: It was not really a commitment; it was like something that you ought to do.

Tony picked up a copy of Pat Robertson’s book “Right On the Money,” and learned the principle of reciprocity. 

Tony: It probably helped me more than anything else was sitting down and reading his book and taking a look at it from a logical point of view seeing that if God promised this it will happen, and how I can invest or what I can do in faith, trusting god that he would take that little bit and make it more or make it what we needed. Beverly said, ‘we really need to consider this, we either need to do it or not do it.’

Bev: Well god blesses us so much that you know we prayed and made the decision to give more.

They started tithing and almost immediately tony noticed a change in their finances.

Tony: Simultaneously it seemed that the pay doubled when we decided to start tithing.

Bev: CBN seems to be so wide spread in helping so many people,

Tony: I can’t go to all the world and be a missionary but CBN can, because they’re out there. And if I can’t go, i sure can help support those that do go. And that’s what CBN does. The Lord has promised that he’ll take care of our needs. He didn’t say He’ll make us a millionaire- He might some day. But He said He would take care of our needs that would suffice for what we needed every day and Beverly and I trust that and when we have needed something it’s been there.

Jesus said he would open up the windows of heaven. If the windows of heaven are open there are blessings that I cannot even imagine. Being obedient to God's truth made an incredible difference for Tony and Bev.
