Woman with Cough Refuses to Swallow Doctor’s Prognosis

“So I lived the dream, per se. I was a former IFBB professional bodybuilder. I was well known, had a lot of notoriety, magazine covers, titles, fans,” said Peter Putnam. 

“As I transitioned away from professional bodybuilding I was no longer competing, but that didn’t mean I quit training.  I continued to train at a very high level. Very intense.  Heavy lifting. That’s what I had always done, but then I gradually began to notice pain in my shoulder.  It just kept getting worse and worse, to the point where I literally had to avoid training shoulders.”

“Over a year’s time it became really debilitating.  And then, when it started affecting me outside the gym, just doing normal day-to-day activity, even at rest, waking up in the middle of the night, because the pain was so severe…I was really concerned and scared.  I thought, ‘How is this going to change things?’ I couldn’t imagine not being able to do the thing that I loved the most.”

“Pretty much daily, I would pray for my shoulder. I would lay my hand on my shoulder and command the pain to leave. I believed it would be healed. I didn’t know how long it would take, but I just never gave up faith.” 

“I’ve been watching The 700 Club for years. So on May 2nd I started my day like any other day and that’s eating breakfast and watching CBN. Gordon was about to go into that specific segment with the words of knowledge. So I decided at that moment to do something I had never done before, which was to join in agreement and pray along with Gordon. As I put my left hand on my shoulder…”

Gordon Robertson spoke a word of knowledge, “Someone else with a right shoulder….Torn tendons within the shoulder…God’s healing all of it.”

“In that moment I felt the Holy Spirit just come all over me and I knew I was being healed. I just began to praise God and said, ‘I receive this healing,’” said Peter. 

Gordon continued, “What you couldn’t do before, do it now.”

“Since that day I’ve been able to do all the activities that I haven’t been able to do. The pain was excruciating.  It’s gone. All the heavy lifting, hundreds of pounds, the same shoulder that couldn’t do those before is able to them again. It’s just amazing to know that I can be back in the gym and doing the thing that I love.”

“What Christ did at the cross…The finished work at the cross. When He said, ‘It is finished.’  That’s sickness, that’s disease, that’s death. By His stripes we are healed.  All things are possible with God. He did it for me, and He can do it for others.”
