Ronnie Milsap/New York Streets and Phil Keaggy

A number of people have been asking recently where I have been. Thanks for asking, and the following hopefully will help answer that question.
First: My interview with Ronnie Milsap will air on The 700 Club tomorrow May 5, 2009. Ronnie Lee Milsap is an American country music singer and musician. He was one of country’s most popular and influential artists in the 1970s and 1980s. He became country music’s first blind superstar. He was also one of the most successful country crossover singers of his time, appealing to both country and pop markets.
Milsap’s biggest crossover hits include "It Was Almost Like a Song", "Smoky Mountain Rain", "(There's) No Gettin' Over Me", "I Wouldn't Have Missed It for the World", "Any Day Now", and "Stranger in My House", "Lost in the Fifties Tonight" was his last crossover hit. He is credited with forty #1 hits in country music, third to George Strait and Conway Twitty.
In our interview Ronnie talks about his faith and how it helped him accept his disability and make him into the person he is today. He also sings selections from his first gospel album, Then Sings My Soul, which was just released.
Next: The 700 Club is debuting in the New York City market this week, on WWOR, Channel 9 at 9:00 A.M.
To celebrate, I trekked back to my old environs and hit the streets and talked to people about the current "New York State of Mind"; to use a title from a Billy Joel song. New Yorkers, always but always have opinions. That airs, Thursday, May 7.
And finally on Friday, May 8, 2009, my interview with good buddy and renowned musician and guitarist Phil Keaggy will air. Phil was recently inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. He will update us on his long career in music.
