An Anne Rice Interview with Scott Ross

Hello all.

For those of you who have been following the current movie/TV/ and book trend of vampires, blood, guts and gore, here is the lady who started it all years ago with her blockbuster book, and subsequent movie with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, Interview With the Vampire, and the ongoing saga of these creatures of darkness in The Vampire Chronicles

But what a literal turn-a-round from darkness to light!

The internationally acclaimed author’s latest books are entitled Christ the Lord, Out of Egypt, and The Road to Cana.  Rice’s most recent book Angel Time,  depicts a contract killer on assignment to kill when he encounters an angel, not a vampire.

In many ways this story parallels Anne Rice’s own spiritual trek from her faith as a young girl to her years of being a devout atheist and then her return to her Christian roots which she details in her own account of her personal pilgrimage, Out of Darkness.

Understandably, a number of people were dubious about this change in Anne Rice’s life. This was reflected by one of our technical people here at CBN who, while working on the interview said this:

“Just got done taking some screen grabs from your interview with Anne Rice for CBN.com. To be painfully honest, I have to confess that I eyed the original news of her profession of faith with skepticism; but after watching her describe her faith pilgrimage, I think there’s little doubt that she had an encounter with the living God.”

What a moving conversation you had with her -- I was blessed to come across it in my workday. Thanks for what you do!”

Incidentally the piece I sent out last week on GPS – God’s Positioning System, giving some of the signposts on our continuing life journey has received a wonderful response.

Your responses are read, responded to and appreciated.

Thanks folks, and pressing on,
Scott Ross
