Obama's Faith Advisors

We read all the time about President Obama meeting with his "senior advisors."  But, did you catch this fascinating article in the USA Today this morning?  It talks about who the President consults with for spiritual advice and prayer.  An inner circle, if you will.  Check it out!

Several people on that list are members of his Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. He met with them yesterday as they presented him with their report of some 60 recommendations for improving how religious and neighborhood service providers can better work alongside the government to help people in need.

One of those key advisors,Dr. Joel Hunter, is on his way to our Bureau right now!  (He's pictured above shaking the President's hand) Seriously, he's literally in a cab.  David Brody is going to talk to him about his role advising the President, and we'll have that in our Faith & Politics segment on The Brody File Show next week!
