Haitian President Visits White House
I was there in the Rose Garden yesterday as President Obama welcomed Haitian President Preval.
We're still waiting for Spring to fully arrive here in Washington, so there weren't any actual roses in the Rose Garden, but it was quite pleasant to be outside. The two leaders met privately before the press event and they walked out of the Oval Office to the Rose Garden to make their remarks.
There were about 100 people seated in an audience, they had all been involved in one way or another in the U.S. government's relief efforts on the ground in Haiti following the devastating earthquake.
Here's a slideshow from the event:
I don't know about you, but I love to people watch. One of the coolest things about covering events at the White House is the people watching is gold. They're really important people. I snapped a few pictures for you, of course.
