POTUS Congratulates the Packers

While the White House Wrap is a Steelers fan, and thus is not happy with the outcome of Sunday's game... she is still a good sport about it and congratulates the Packers anyway.

So is the President. Remember, he's a Chicago Bears fan.

Yesterday, he called Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy to congratulate him on the Super Bowl victory.

A readout provided by the White House says the President commended Coach McCarthy on his leadership in guiding the team through a rash of injuries throughout the season and during the game. He also asked Coach McCarthy to pass along to MVP Aaron Rodgers how impressed he was with his skills.

The President said even a Bears fan can appreciate what the victory means for the people of Green Bay and Wisconsin and he looks forward to hosting the team at the White House.

No word yet on whether he'll wear one of the many Packers jerseys he received during his recent trip to Wisconsin.
